Lightstyle was established in 2003 over the years we have spent time and a considerable amount of money gathering images & paying for photography work to help build our brand & company.
If Lightstyle or we are notified that a website, person or 3rd party has used our copyrighted material without permission, we consider that you fully agree to the terms below. In such cases, we will issue an invoice for the use of our copyrighted material.
Photographic copyright refers to the legal rights granted to the creator or owner of a photograph. These rights typically include the exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, display, and make derivative works based on the photograph. In many countries, including the United Kingdom, copyright protection is automatically granted to the creator of an original work, including photographs, as soon as the work is fixed in a tangible form, such as when the photo is taken and saved to a storage medium.
Photographic copyright gives the creator or owner the authority to control how their photograph is used and prevents others from using the photograph without permission. This means that anyone wishing to use a copyrighted photograph for purposes such as publication, commercial use, or distribution needs to obtain permission from the copyright owner, often in the form of a license, and may need to compensate the copyright owner for such use.

- The purpose of use: The photograph can be used for commercial purposes, editorial use, personal use & websites etc.
- The duration of use: 12 Months
- The territory of use: Worldwide
- Payment & fees
OUR FEES FOR USING OUR PHOTOS OR VIDEOS
PHOTOS £1,500.00 + vat per photo
VIDEOS £2,000.00 + vat per video
Lightstyle the copyright owner grants the licensee the non-exclusive right to use the photograph for a period of one (1) year from the date of the raised invoice. During this period, the licensee is permitted to use the photograph only once (once means once on a website or advertisment if the photo is used twice on a website or advertisment the charge will be PRO-RATA). After the expiration of one year, you must cease all use of the photograph unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by the copyright owner Lightstyle
The licensee acknowledges that the photograph is protected by copyright and agrees to use it only in accordance with the terms of this agreement. Lightstyle the copyright owner reserves all rights not expressly granted herein. Any unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or modification of the photograph constitutes copyright infringement and will be vigorously defended. Lightstyle the copyright owner will pursue all available legal remedies, including but not limited to injunctive relief, monetary damages, and reimbursement of all fees, through court proceedings.”
“The licensee agrees to pay the copyright owner the agreed-upon fee above for the use of the photograph or video within fourteen (14) days of the date of invoice. The copyright owner will issue an invoice to the licensee upon execution of this agreement. Payment shall be made in GBP and sent to the Lightstyle designated payment address.”
AGAIN: If Lightstyle or we are notified that a website has used our copyrighted material without permission, we consider that you fully agree to the terms above. In such cases, we will issue an invoice for the use of our copyrighted material.
